There are very few eating options in the Nagata and north of Yakushima.  Guests staying in hotels in this region would usually book the hotel with meals included.

Jarai Tei (じゃらい亭) - Nagata
  Jarai Tei is run by an elderly lady and the menu is limited to only a few choices.  However,
Shiba Tofu (柴豆腐) - Nagata
Shiba Tofu hand-made tofu that is sold either to eat by the shop where it`s made or as a take-away.
