Tashiro Bekkan (田代別館) – Miyanoura
Tashiro Bekkan (田代別館) is ideally situated on the banks of the Miyanoura River. The Tashiro family began their hotel business on Yakushima in 1904, although the current Tashiro Bekkan was built in 1986. There are great views of the Miyanoura River and the mountains behind. If a hike around Shiratani Unsuikyo is on your agenda then this is an ideal place to stay. Rooms are traditional tatami mat style with an attached bathroom and toilet. Hotel facilities include a large Japanese communal bath, a sauna and a shop on-site.
Meals at the Tashiro Bekkan are focused around the local cuisine and delicacies.
Early morning breakfast and lunch bentos can be prepared for those guests with an early start.
Room rates are 8,640 yen – 16,200 yen per person including breakfast and evening meal. Should you require room-only then the rates are 4,320 yen – 9,720 yen. Rates vary depending on the season and day of the week.
